Lead W.I.S.E Way's Regional Impact​

W.I.S.E Way is actively building dynamic Boards of Directors in both our Midlands and DFW regions. As a board member, you'll play a pivotal role in advancing our mission to empower student-athletes and underserved youth by guiding them from the field to successful careers and purposeful lives. This includes fostering exposure to civil engineering, real-world professional experiences, and vital life skills for a fulfilling future after the game.

 

Board Responsibilities:

• Strategic Oversight: Attend a minimum of six board meetings annually (every other month) to set regional strategy and ensure program effectiveness.

• Community Engagement: Establish local committee structures, engaging industry professionals and community leaders to support W.I.S.E Way initiatives.

• Program Advocacy: Drive the execution of at least two events per year: one directly benefiting students (e.g., career workshops, mentorship events) and one engaging the community for support and recruitment.

• Fundraising & Philanthropy: Commit to raising a minimum of $3,000 annually for W.I.S.E Way scholarships and program support. Each board member is also expected to be a personal philanthropic supporter of their Chapter.
